One of the best ways to get your home organized is to break it down into smaller projects. Start by deciding what area in your home is going to be the most beneficial & make the greatest impact in your overall daily life. Then, begin decluttering one space at a time. Ask yourself if the items you are keeping are actually useful or if they are just taking up space.

The first space that I went and started to work on was under our kitchen sink cabinet. I had not organized it ever since we moved in 4 years ago. I started by taking everything out & checking expiration dates on each item. I didn’t want to run to store and buy containers if I didn’t have too. Once I got rid of the clutter, I went out to Dollar Tree & bought some storage containers. I also ordered some pre printed household labels from Amazon.
I found some peel and stick faux subway tile & some floral contact paper at Dollar Tree. I wanted to give it an inexpensive refresh & make it somewhat pretty. I wanted to make it a pleasant experience opening up the cabinets. I would dread it in the past. LOL.

If you haven’t used something in the last year or two, consider donating it to a thrift store or giving it away. Once you’ve decluttered, organize each space by function. Place like items together in bins, drawers, or shelves so that you can easily find them when needed. Finally, designate a specific place for everything and make a habit of returning items to their designated spot after use. With a little effort and dedication, you can have your home beautifully organized in no time!

Once you have decided on a particular space to organize, follow these simple steps to help the process less overwhelming. Pro Tip: Play some music in the background or listen to a podcast. I promise this will make this less boring lol.

- Start by decluttering the room – it’s much easier to organize a space when you take out anything that doesn’t belong in the room.
- Create a plan of action – decide what you want to organize and how you want to organize it.
- Gather all the necessary supplies – boxes, bins, shelves and organizational tools.
- Sort items into categories – this will make it easier to find things when you need them.
- Label the categories – labelling will help you remember what items belong to what categories.
- Place items in their designated areas – make sure you take measurements so you know where everything will fit.
- Implement a regular cleaning and maintenance routine – this will help keep the space organized and clutter-free.
- Enjoy your organized space – you’ve worked hard to get it in order, now you can sit back and admire your handiwork.
Getting rid of clutter the best thing you can do to make your home be more manageable. Less things only helps keep less things organized. Last, sit down and create a weekly cleaning system for the week. Start with must do Daily tasks & then divide household chores during the week.
